Outer box, will in case the cassette and standard cassette box. Most likely keeping it uniform. Hopefully doing more cassettes soon, they are fun, cheap and people seem to enjoy them. Plus being a blind box, it will add the element of SURPRISE! I GOT A RARE COLORED CASSETTE!

Where did you buy your blank cassettes? I was thinking of going through tape.com, but I only want 50 at the most.

But I think I may have like 20 or so blank black cassettes (14 min a side?) as well as cases if you want em pm me! or if you want 'em printed and dubbed and can do a run of 100 you can use national audio company (ends up being like 1$ a piece)

Bummer. I dig cassettes, and it's awesome that $100 gets 100 printed and dubbed cassettes, but I just don't want to have a box of unsold cassettes under my bed. But maybe, just maybe...

It's my own band: Perfect Future www.myspace.com/perfectfutureWe are supposed to be having a tape come out through Tall Cedar Tapes. Basically it is a dude who bought a tape duplicator, got really excited about doing a tape label, agreed to put out cassettes for a ton of bands, and then realized that he didn't have much time to do everything. So I was thinking about putting out our own cassette. But then it might just be better to save the money and try to get pressed onto vinyl. Bah. Never enough money. Thus concludes my rant about trying to get my band's album onto an analog media format.

I can't really talk bad on the dude, because he is a really cool guy, but I knew as soon as I saw the list of cassettes he planned on putting out that he would be too swamped to do all of it... at least in a timely fashion. That is why I pushed for getting it out as soon as possible, but then his band went on tour and it hit the wayside. Oh well.
Relevant to the topic: are there really tape collectors who nerd out over rare colors?

not a tape collector, but i do enjoy tapes just as much as, if not more, than vinyl. very small, easy to transport, and cool little thangz.
